5-B edit portfolio reflection 11.26.12
1. The good or strong parts of my edits are that all the pictures are enhanced differently and look better than the original picture because I used different edits on each.
2. Things I could've done better in my portfolio are try more different edits because I think I could've done more dramatic changes to make them look better.
3. I think my best edit is the one with my cat in the grass. I think that because it's the most dramatic change of all of my edits and to get it like that, I darkened the whole background, leaving just the eyes and then mirrored the eyes on the bottom and then changed the contrast and colors to really make them pop where before the whole picture had kind of a dull glow to it and light colors. I changed it to really intense colors and dark background.
4. For most of my edits, I used Picmonkey becaue I really like how Picmonkey is so userfriendly, but then once we discovered Pixlr, I would definitely say that that is the best because there is so many options to choose and it's still user friendly.
5. I can't remember the exact name of the filter on Pixler, but it made the colors more intense. I think that's the best becuase I really like vibrant colors.
6. I think the best way to enhance the emphasis is to play around the color and contrast to see which combination can make the object you want to focus on pop and stand out.
7. I learned that when your editing that you should try a lot of different things to see which looks best instead of just finding one you like and using it on all of the pictures because you never know what you could be missing out on if you don't try it.
8. I started this project by picking out all of the pictures I liked best and then editing that picture by itself and then continuing to pick out the pictures I just really liked. I did all of the multistep ones first, so they're the pictures I liked the best. And then after that I just kept picking out the ones I liked and sometimes using the same filters on them, but I usually tried a bunch to see which made the picture look best.
9. Yes, I think this was a worthwile project because I like how we learned parts of Photoshop because i've always wanted to know more advanced editing. In the future I'd say to take even more time to learn more parts of Photoshop and doing editing on all of the projects we do.
