gargoyle reflection 3.6.13
1. I think the good or strong parts of my project are the texture I put on it because it looks nice and resembles the hair well.
2. I think I could've worked harder on adding more details to my project because I think it could use something more to it.
3. My project kind of looks like a monkey and I didn't plan on making it that way, it just kinda turned out that way, and the emotion it's showing is surprise because the mouth is agape.
4. My project isn't that big, and it's kind of an oval shape with pieces attatched to it. I didn't really plan on making it that way, it just kinda turned out like that.
5. I used a lot of cool colors like purple and blue, and I used a bright pink to add emphasis to the mouth. I chose those colors because I thought they went well together and they help create the theme because it's kind of calm and I wanted to make sure there was emphasis on the mouth.
6. From this project I learned that things don't always turn out the way you plan and sometimes you just have to go with it and see what happens. You could apply that to life in general because everything doesn't always go your way.
7. For the design process of this project, I started out with preliminaries that showed the ideas I liked and thought would be interesting to create. Then when I actually got the clay and started forming it, I had to change my original thoughts on how it was going to look like because when I put the two pinch pots together, the shape wasn't the same as I pictured, so I had to just go with that. And then I just started making whatever looked the best. I didn't really have a plan from that point on. Some challenges I had were deciding on just what to do and instead of just sitting there thinking, I just did something and made it so I liked it. Also, I had troubles with keeping the ears on, and I overcame that by using more slip.
8. I think this project was worthwile, but at first I really didn't enjoy it though towards the end I started to like it. I think you should keep doing the project but at the beginning I think the focus shouldn't be on gargoyles because most of us didn't have end products as actual looking gargoyles.
