Monochromatic Emotion Tempera Paiting Reflection 2.24.12
1. The good parts of my painting are my shading because everything looks 3-D.
2. I could've added more details to my painting because it was pretty simple, and boring, and I could've done more.
3. I represented sadness by having a sad eye look at a broken heart. I chose that emotion because I was just happened to be listening to a sad song when I came up with the idea.
4. The main hue in my painting was blue because it what a good color for sadness, and because it's my favorite color.
5. My tints in my painting are in the lower left hand corner, and my darker shades are in the top right hand corner because my imaginary light source was coming from the lower left.
6. I learned about working with another person and colaborating with our painting and that you can't always get what you want and you just have to compromise in favor of the whole painting. That can be applied to life like when you're working at a job with someone else, you might have to compromise some of your ideas.
7. The design of my painting was basically planned, but where and how it blended with Keely's was by chance. It mostly turned out the way I thought it would, yet it didn't because of how some orange was thrown into mine and some blue into hers.
8. I would say that it is a worthwile project, and I think that there should be more choice on which surface we paint on, and more freedom on the size, and be free to do a group painting.
