1. I think the good parts of my portrait portfolio are I got a lot of pictures that show good emotion because it really captures parts of people's personalities.
2. I think I could've done a better job getting more diversity in my pictures because I didn't get a lot of pictures that showed people actually doing things, most were kind of posed.
3. I think one of my best pictures is the one of my cousin Henry's face. I think it's good because its focued completely on his face it the way the lighting is really brings out his green eyes.
4. I used a lot of natural lighting in my pictures. I hardly used flash at all because I think the natural light makes the objects less harsh and more smooth, soft, and natural.
5. I tried to capture the essence of humanity by capturing moments that showed a lot of personality and emotion because personality and emotions are really intense and show a lot in just a little.
6. I mostly emphasized on people's faces and eyes because that's where all the emotions are and they can tell a story.
7. I learned from this project that you have to keep trying different things to get the best result. You can apply this to life in general if you're like taking a test and you study one way and you don't get the results you want so you trying studying a different way until you get the scores you want.
8. We first made a list of people and places where we wanted to take pictures, but as the project went on I kind of just started getting whatever pictures were most natural and unplanned. A lot of them were in school, but I did get some outside of school and then at the end I sorted and found that the pictures that weren't posed were my best ones.
9. I think this is a very worthwile project. In the future I think we should take a class walk to somewhere other than the school to take portraits instead of spending so many days taking pictures in the same place because it was hard to get diverse pictures in the school.
