Reflection 1-C 9.7.12
1. The good and strong parts of my project are that there is no white background space showing, I have unity, or rhythm in it, and all the pictures describe me.
2. I could've used rubber cement or mod podge instead of just a normal glue stick to glue the pictures on to make it look nicer.
3. My theme is traveling through my life. and things that describe me. I showed that by having picutres of my feet thoughout the series, a picture of sheetmusic and my headphones because music is everything to me, and a few pictures from Ely because that's my favorite place to go.
4. The most dominant colors in my series are blue and earthy colors. The less dominant are reds and bright colors.
5. My rhythm in my project is repeating pictures of my feet/shoes and picutres of roads and a street sign. I chose to do that because my theme is travelling through life so throughout the series I placed a picture of my favorite shoes at the beginning, pictures of the gravel road I live on in the middle, pictures of my crazy socks and cowboy boots and a picture of my feet on a boat towards the end, and then the street sign that I live on very last because I will always return home no matter where I travel during my life.
6. I learned that you're not always going to get the shot you want on the first try and to try different things just to see how they turn out. Like trying different angles and lighting and such. Those lessons could be applied to life in the way that you just have to keep trying new things and you're not going to get everything right on the first try.
7. I basically followed Mr. Purdy's design process by sketching out shots I hoped to get in the beginning and then going out and taking those shots next. I took a lot of pictures for this project, and there was many that I wanted to actually use on my series, but there wasn't enough room. That wasn't planned, and none of the shots were exactly planned because not everything can be posed that I took picutres off. Some just happen are are just a great shot.
8. I think this was a worthwile project. I really enjoyed it, and the only thing I wish was different is that there was more room for pictures. But that's just me. I think it was a good project and there isn't really anything I'd have Mr. Purdy change about it.
