Watercolor Reflection 1.27.12
1. The strong parts of my paintings are my unity because they all have something in common and something that connects them all together.
2. I could've added some more detail to my paintings because they're kind of simple and could've had more to them.
3. The things that tie my paintings together are my backgrounds. They all have a single color along with strokes of different colors in it, and then they all have a single, black symbol.
4. My color choices depended on what feeling or event I was trying to show. My present one, I used bright, warm, happy colors becuase I'm happy right now. my future one is more cool colors, just because of the Northern Lights and mountains. And my past one is cool and natural to represent the landscape of Ely, Minnesota.
5. I conclude that watercolor painting is somewhat difficult because there isn't much control and it's unpredictable, but it is fun because it's easy to blend colors and just to kind of see how things turn out.
6. I learned that you have to be patient with what you're doing and to keep with something even though at the moment it isn't quite how you thought it would be. In life in general, you just have to keep going through things because you never know how something might turn out.
7. I started out one painting with the certain background and then realized that that same thing could be used for all of them, and then when I added the main focus of the paintings that the black symbol works as even more unity while still getting across what I wanted though the painting. So it was somewhat by chance, and somewhat planned.
8. I will make sure to practice before starting the final project because if I don't, it doesn't turn out even close to how I imagined it.
